At the entrance to the Fischland-Darß-Zingst peninsula about 35 km northeast of Rostock is the Baltic seaside resort of Dierhagen between the sea and the Bodden.

From Berlin, the journey by car takes about 2.5 hours. Each house has space for two cars to park. There are also regular trains between Berlin and Rostock. From Rostock it is possible to travel to Dierhagen by public transport.
